Introducing the NEW Apal Agricultural Laboratory

May 16, 2014

You may or may not have been aware that Apal Laboratory has been under new management since January 2014. Since that time we have being working extremely hard behind the scenes, and are now ready to launch our new brand, website and submission process. This is your introduction to the new company, Apal Agricultural laboratory.

The key message is that the new business model has a major focus on quality of data. For this reason all our tests moving forward will, as far as is practicable, be standard Australasian test methods, and accredited with the Australian Soil and Plant Analysis Council (ASPAC). At the conclusion of the 2013-2014 ASPAC proficiency testing, we have achieved almost 100% certification for those methods we perform where certification is possible. We are also working on achieving NATA accreditation, aiming to be accredited against AS ISO/IEC 17025 for our plant tissue analysis by the end of the calendar year 2014.

The business has invested heavily in new equipment in the last 12 months and will continue this process for the rest of 2014. This facilitates automation of the majority of testing, which will build capacity in the business, improve reporting turnaround times during peak demand, and improve the quality of data we are delivering.

In short, the take home message is that we are making significant changes to our product/service offering, ensuring we are delivering an accredited accurate reporting format that aligns with best industry practice.

Please take the time to have a look at the new website and new test offerings.
